The medicine wheel is a symbol for the wheel of life which is forever evolving and bringing new lessons. It is believed that in the course of our lifetime, we stand on every spoke of this great wheel many times and that in doing so, we learn to honour every direction and every lesson. Some people think of these wheels as a compass, which like the horses, guide us along our way.
In The Medicine Horse, you will have an opportunity to Walk the Wheel with a horse as your guide and gather your teachings from the four directions. This walk will occur inside the sanctity of a round pen. Although this form has traditionally been used for “breaking” horses, we honour it now as sacred space, a medicine wheel unto itself.
To commemorate your walk, you will design a personal talisman, as guided by the Chiron’s Way or Banyandah Herd and inspired by the amazing Medicine Horses of Cal Peacock. Cal is a horse sister and a renowned artist from New Mexico. Click HERE to see her captivating Medicine Horses.
You will also be part of a special circle with the horses in which Sandra will share the powerful healing song she was gifted by a Cree elder/mentor/friend.
