LEARN TO FACILITATE SAFE, INNOVATIVE AND TRANSFORMATIONAL EQUINE GUIDED SESSIONS

In a world that is looking beyond the status quo for personal and professional development, horses are leading the way. When you commit to working with Sandra and the Chiron’s Way herd, you will learn about the vast potential of partnering with horses, how such work is accessible to a wide range of markets and how you can define your unique contribution as you create your niche therein.

This innovative facilitation program is for anyone interested in honing their EGD awareness and skills, as well as EGD professionals such as wellness practitioners, coaches, counsellors, educators and equine professionals who want to:

  • Master the art of partnering with horses in the fields of personal and professional development
  • Incorporate EGD/EFW sessions with your existing client base
  • Bring new tools and insights to your business and programs
  • Develop a strong foundation in EGD/EFW processes and skills
  • Become more versatile in your approach to individuals, teams and herds

This training offers learning modules that balance the skills and creativity required to facilitate transformational EGD sessions and programs. During these experiential 2 weeks you will learn how to:

  • create a safe environment for learning, sharing, growing and healing
  • partner with a variety of horses and identify their unique abilities and strengths
  • facilitate a reflective/contemplative equine guided development session
  • conceptualize the use of active groundwork principles within an EGD/EFW session
  • utilize Sandra’s Conscious Horsemanship Model to create heightened learning and transformation with your clients
  • transform limiting beliefs that may arise during equine guided experiences/facilitate equine assisted belief change EABC Sessions
  • incorporate the expressive arts to heighten and deepen the integration of any session or program
  • keep your herd happy and healthy before, during and after sessions and programs
  • work on your written scope of practice document for submission to EFW-Can (if applicable)
  • DANCE with EQUUS

*Previous exposure to or training in equine guided work is a prerequisite for this training, such as the Level 1 Exploring EGD Training,  at Chiron’s Way, the EFW-Can Explorations Training, or equivalent. This course meets the requirements of the Focus Training for Equine Facilitated Wellness Canada (EFW-Can).

Focus Training Program in EFW and AAT A Developmental and Attachment Based Approach

June 18-23, 2017 and Sept 17-22, 2016

This small group intensive training opportunity is for people who have already completed an introductory training. Offered over two sessions of six days, with additional pre and post distance learning components, this training is firmly grounded in, explores and applies the developmental and attachment based paradigm of

Dr. Gordon Neufeld integrated into the Healing Hooves approach. Aspects of T-Touch, TEAM, Centered Riding and Connected Groundwork are incorporated, co-facilitated by advanced instructors in these fields. Includes much experiential hands-on work with the horses (and/or with other animals for those with a broader AAT focus) through guided interactions, reflections and practice sessions. The personalized training, certification and practice plan you developed at the Exploration training will be revisited and expanded. Individual mentoring sessions are offered and are required for EFW-Can certification.

Cette formation se compose de 9 jours sur le site et d'une journée de travaux personnels (total de 70 heures). Les participants doivent s'assurer de pouvoir être présents aux 3 modules d'une même année.

La formation «Cheval et humain, partenaires sages» permet de compléter les étapes 3 et 4 du processus de certification de l’ANMFC, étapes essentielles pour pratiquer dans ce domaine novateur.

Cette formation est de 10 jours, répartis en 3 modules de 3 jours sur place et de 1 journée de travaux personnels.

Pré-requis :

  • Considérer le cheval comme un Être sensible; c’est-à-dire dont les besoins d’espace, les besoins sociaux et de mobilité sont respectés et ayant droit d’avoir ses opinions et de les exprimer librement
  • Expérience avec les chevaux
  • Quatre jours d’ateliers en MFC en tant que participant
  • La formation « Exploration »
  • Démontrer un bon niveau d’auto-responsabilité et de maturité émotionnelle
  • Avoir accès à un ou plusieurs chevaux pour pratiquer entre les modules
  • Avoir accès à internet

Ce programme échelonné sur 4 mois comprend :

  • 3 modules de 3 jours aux écuries Namasté (50% théorie et 50% pratique)
  • 7 heures de travaux personnels (comptes-rendus d’apprentissage)

Focus Training Week 1 & 2, Reflections of the Horse, Generation Farms, Nanaimo BC

Reflection of the Horse  Week I & 2 of training in the Generation Farms Approach to Equine Facilitated Wellness  $1400 plus GST for one week. $2600 plus GST if taking both weeks in 2017.

Week 1  July 5 -10, 2017 (Thursday is a free day)

Week 2  August 21 to 26, 2017 (Monday through Saturday) This five day program has a free day on Thursday for rest and integration. (Thursday is a free day)

This is a small group training offered over two separate weeks. It fulfills the requirements for NAEFW Focus training and is intended for people who have completed an introductory EFW program. Our approach is drawn from principles of Authentic Horsemanship, Somatic Psychology, mindfulness, nature-based practice, trauma therapy, and the Epona Quest Approach. You will learn basic neurophysiology in an accessible way and apply it in simple yet powerful experiences. These fundamentals create a foundation that can be applied to a variety of EFW approaches with children and adults.

Teaching includes theoretical information, a PowerPoint presentation, hands-on exercises with horses, demonstrations, readings and supportive practice with each other.

Reflection of the Horse -  The Generation Farms Approach - Week Two

This fulfills Focus Training Week Two requirement in the EFW - Canada Certification Program

Expand your learning about Generation Farms Approach in this five day program. This week will focus on helping others experience the world using the Generation Farms skills and approach. This week is suitable for people who are going into the EFW field. It will review the concepts of the GF Approach and put them into practice with each other and the horses including:

  • review neurobiology and EFW concepts
  • putting together an EFW session
  • practice sessions with each other
  • horse as co-therapist
  • sensory healing and re-integration
  • nature based experiential
  • practical aspects of EFW including equipment, suitable horses and facilities, insurance
  • create a personal Scope of Practice document which lays out your personal path for further development and guidelines for the work you will do
